Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how D&T Murphy & Associates Inc., doing business as SWING Middletown (“SWING,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at swingmiddletown.com, make a booking, or contact us.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to information collected through our website, our online booking system, and direct communications with our staff (phone, email, or in person). It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to or rely on, such as Square, whose own privacy policies govern their handling of your information.
2. Information We Collect
- Booking information - name, email address, phone number, and (optionally) skill level, provided when you book open play, a private rental, or an event.
- Contact form submissions - name, email, phone, and the contents of your message, when you contact us or request a birthday party or corporate event quote.
- Payment information - handled directly by Square; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical information - standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated by normal website operation.
3. How We Use Information
We do not sell your personal information.
- To create, confirm, and manage your bookings and reservations
- To send confirmation, receipt, reschedule, and refund-offer emails
- To respond to inquiries, quote requests, and customer service questions
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and booking system
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
4. Payment Processing
All online and in-person card payments are processed by Square. Square acts as an independent processor of your payment information under its own privacy policy and terms. Cash payments taken in person are still recorded in Square for our accounting and receipt purposes.
5. Email Communications
We use Postmark to send transactional emails - booking confirmations, payment receipts, and reschedule or refund offers. These are operational messages related to a booking you made, not marketing email.
8. Data Retention
We retain booking and contact information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and tax records, and resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymized in the ordinary course of business.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Our facility welcomes families and birthday parties for children, but bookings and payments must be made by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children online. Skill level or participant details for a minor are provided by the booking adult on the minor's behalf.
11. Your Rights & Choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at service@swingmiddletown.com or (845) 695-0686. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we're required to keep for legal or accounting purposes.
12. Additional State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (for example, the right to know what information is collected about you, or to opt out of certain uses). To exercise any such rights, contact us using the details in Section 11 above and we will address your request under applicable law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly.
